IAB Belarus stands in solidarity with protesters

For 20 days the people of Belarus go out to peaceful protests and fight for their basic constitutional rights — freedom, the right to vote and the rule of law.

IAB Belarus and all the players of the advertising market take part in this struggle, because we are sure that where there is no freedom there is no creativity and development.

Chief of the board IAB Belarus, a well-known and respected businessman Alexander Vasilevich was detained and illegally sentenced to 15 days.

IAB Belarus, together with other advertising associations of our country, expressed our indignation and condemned numerous crimes against the rights and freedoms of the Belarusian people by the state authorities.

IAB Belarus on behalf of the enterprises of the advertising industry of Belarus, express their negative attitude towards what is happening in the country after the elections of the President of the Republic of Belarus, and demand from the state authorities:

— immediately stop the unlawful actions of law enforcement agencies against citizens throughout the country;

— unconditionally release from prison citizens who took part in peaceful protest actions related to the election results;

— immediately start a dialogue with civil society on the results of the past election campaign, compliance with electoral legislation and protection of the constitutional rights of voters.

Ассоциация рекламных организаций (АРО) и Ассоциация интерактивной рекламы (IAB Belarus) от имени предприятий рекламной индустрии Республики Беларусь выражают свое негативное отношение к тому, что происходит в стране после проведения выборов Президента Республики Беларусь, и требуют от органов государственной власти:

— немедленно прекратить противоправные действия силовых структур в отношении граждан на территории всей страны;

— безоговорочно освободить из заключения граждан, принявших участие в мирных протестных акциях, связанных с результатами выборов;

— незамедлительно начать диалог с гражданским обществом о результатах прошедшей избирательной кампании, соблюдении избирательного законодательства и защите конституционных прав избирателей.
